Career Journey: Imogen Baxter, Director of Revenue & Sales

We asked Imogen a few questions about her career journey so far, how she ended up at Lifehouse, and what she loves about her job. Read the full interview below!

How long have you been working at Lifehouse? 

11 years.

Tell us a little bit about how you ended up here. 

After a year break, I saw a job advert for a brand new spa being built locally and decided to apply. As soon as I arrived for my interview, I knew this was the place for me!

Describe your usual working day. 

On arrival, I check in on the reservations team and complete my daily tasks to ensure we are on track to achieve budget. After this, my day is open for ongoing projects, developing strategy, promotions and anything else that comes my way! 

What’s your favourite thing about working at Lifehouse? 

The team. We have a mixed range of employees but everyone gets along well and works together. 

 

What do you like most about working in this industry? 

Each day is different and there is always something to do! 

What makes Lifehouse different from other places you’ve worked? 

The opportunities to learn and develop my skills. I have achieved several qualifications during my time at Lifehouse, which have helped me achieve my current position. 

 

What are some new skills you have picked up since you started working here? 

Management, leadership, marketing, and project management, to name a few! 

 

What advice would you give to people applying for a job like yours? 

You need to have proven experience in your field and be prepared to go the extra mile to achieve. Listening, being quick to learn and adaptable to change is essential to succeed in similar roles.
