Lifehouse Awards & Accreditations

We’re proud of the steps everyone at Lifehouse has taken to make this a friendly, inclusive and sustainable place to work. Over the years we’ve received many awards and accreditations that prove our commitment to continuous improvement. Here’s what some of those badges at the bottom of each web page really mean!

Living Wage Employer:

The real living wage is more than just the minimum wage, it’s calculated based on what real people need to live in the UK. Becoming a Living Wage Employer means that we commit to paying our directly employed staff and contractors a living wage. The Lifehouse Team is at the heart of everything we do, so their health and happiness is always our top priority!

Disability Confident Committed Employer:

This involves ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible, taking positive action to invite people with disabilities to interview for roles that they qualify for, attempting to anticipate the needs of anyone with a disability who works at Lifehouse, and much more. Cancer Aware:

Thanks to a partnership between Spafinder Wellness and the charity, Wellness for Cancer, we were able to apply for, and be awarded, a ‘Cancer Aware’ comprehensive certification. This means that people undergoing treatment or recovering from cancer can see that our Lifehouse staff are trained to provide safe, effective services for them.

Dementia Friends

Lifehouse has become a Dementia Friend as part of the Alzheimer’s Society initiative to promote awareness and education about this condition. By joining we have committed to understanding more about this condition and to taking action to make Lifehouse a safe and comfortable space for anyone who lives with it.

5 Bubble Spa:

We’ve been granted Five Bubble status from Good Spa Guide for six years in a row! This rating system gives customers a general guide of what they can expect from each spa, sending a ‘Spa Spy’ to review the candidates. A Five Bubble rating means we give guests the whole package from start to finish, and we couldn’t do it without our five star Lifehouse team! Learn more about this rating on our blog.

Green Tourism: (awaiting grading)

This certification programme recognises the commitment of tourism businesses that are actively working to become more sustainable. We are currently in the process of receiving this accreditation, and you can find out more about all the steps we’ve taken to make Lifehouse an eco-friendly spa.
